Error fingerprint SAVE-NOT-LOADING
Palworld save not loading: protect the recovery points first.
Stop repeated launches, copy the active world and backup folders, then separate a game compatibility problem from a damaged or mismatched file set.
Local safety workbench
Run the same safety workflow on your local files.
Scan locally, freeze the original, preview the exact scope, run validation, and export a receipt. Unknown binary formats stay read-only.

Recognition receipt
Local save recognized
Pal Save Editor found the required records and mapped the safe next step.
Inspection summary
Pal Save Editor can describe the file set and risks, but it cannot prove a safe decode and rebuild path yet. Download the recognition receipt instead of a guessed save.

Separate world load and character load
If the world does not appear, fails during load, or returns to the menu, inspect Level.sav, metadata, and backups. If the world loads but the character is new, focus on player identity and transfer mapping instead.
Compare complete recovery points
List every active and backup world folder with timestamp, file count, Level.sav size, player count, and hash. A complete slightly older backup is often safer than a newer partial set.
Confirm before making the restore permanent
Load the restored copy, then verify players, guilds, bases, Pals, inventory, technology, and map state. Keep the previous active folder until the important accounts have confirmed the result.
Task checklist
- 01Stop the game or server.
- 02Copy active and backup folders elsewhere.
- 03Scan file count, size, signatures, and player companions.
- 04Restore a complete candidate as a test.
- 05Verify in game before deleting any recovery point.
Questions people ask before touching the save
Should I keep trying to launch the world?
No. Stop and preserve the current files first, especially when backup rotation may overwrite older copies.
The world loads but my player is gone. Is the world corrupt?
Possibly not. That symptom commonly points to a player identity mismatch rather than a missing world.
